Rent a bike and explore Reykjavik 

At Grand Hotel Reykjavik you can rent a bike. Renting a bike is a great way to explore the city.

There are plenty of bicycle paths in and around Reykjavik´s coast line and valleys that are designed with safety in mind and avoid automobile traffic when possible. A good map is available at Grand Hotel Reykjavik that points out the best routes.

We can reccommend several cycling routes f.ex.;  Elliðaardalur Valley  a relaxing recreational area within the city and it is fun to explore a salmon river that runs through the valley. Also there is a nice routes along the south coastline of Reykjavik, a place called Ægissíða, with nice views of the sea and other worth seeing surroundings of Reykjavik. Everyone should find a route that suits.

Grand Bikes are available for rent from our hotels.  Helmets for your safety are included.
We reccommend that you wear seasonally appropriate clothing.
