Northern lights is undoubtly one of the most spectacular, beautiful and enchanting of nature’s phenomena. To look skywards on a crisp, clear night and see these giant curtains of colored light weaving and swaying, gliding and flowing gracefully across the northerly heavens is pure magic.
In ancient Norse mythology, auroral rays were perceived as the reflections of the shields of the Valkyries as they rode across the sky bearing the warriors slain in the battle to their heroic resting place in Valhalla
You can see the northern light from the 14th floor at Grand Hotel Reykjavik. There is a 360 degree window view.
